Cookie and Local Storage Policy

Cookies

The website’s own core microphone-testing functionality does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Advertising is disabled. Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, and Cloudflare states that this product does not use cookies to collect usage metrics. Hosting and security infrastructure may use technically necessary mechanisms outside the website’s direct application code to deliver and protect the service.

Local storage

The website stores one preference under the key mic-test-theme. It remembers whether you selected the light or dark theme. Local storage is not a cookie and remains in your browser until you change the preference or clear the site’s stored data.

The live microphone meter does not store audio in local storage. Optional recordings are temporary in-memory browser objects and are not persisted as a cookie or local-storage value.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

Cloudflare Pages automatically adds a performance beacon to deployed pages. It provides aggregate traffic and performance reporting without using cookies or local storage for analytics, according to Cloudflare. The beacon does not receive microphone audio, recordings, input levels, device labels, or microphone settings.

Future advertising technologies

Google AdSense is not active. If advertising is enabled later, advertising providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, browser identifiers, or similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, or personalization. Before that happens, this policy and the Privacy Policy will be updated and required consent controls will be configured.

Your controls

You can clear the theme preference using your browser’s site-data controls. Browser controls may also allow you to block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect technically necessary functions supplied by hosting or security providers.
